According to Bali Deputy Governor Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati, Bali has the potential to hold extraordinary Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibition (MICE) activities and its existence has proven to be able to move many sectors, from the accommodation sector to the MSME sector. However, the COVID-19 Pandemic had a tremendous impact on the MICE industry which caused many major events to be delayed.
“Prioritizing togetherness, not competition, we must unite to get up. I also ask that the MICE industry continue to strive to revive itself by still establishing health protocols. So it is very important for the MICE Bali association to unite to rise and win the competition,” he said.
He added that the government has made various efforts and programs to be able to revive the tourism industry and revive the people’s economy. Including the MICE industry and events that play an important role in increasing the income of the Balinese people.
“For that, let us unite, we compile together a work program so that MICE Bali can rise again,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Bank Indonesia Representative Office Bali, Trisno Nugroho, said that in the amidst of a pandemic, the important thing that must be done is to unite, unite so that they can survive and thrive in the current situation.
