GLARANE TO PROMOTING TOURISM AND CREATIVE ECONOMY IN FRANCE

THE Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy welcomes the presence of “Glarane” launched by the Indonesian Consulate General in Marseille as an online platform that presents various creative economy products typical of the country, so that they can be a good promotional tool for tourism and Indonesia’s creative economy.

According to the Deputy for Marketing of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Nia Niscaya, in her statement said the platform which can be accessed through the www.glarane.com page aims to provide education about information and Indonesian products marketed in France. Glarane literally and traditionally means a stretch to peddle a variety of products for sale.

“This meaning underlies the purpose of the platform, not only as a medium for displaying products, but also encouraging business relationships and the widest possible network that support each other,” Nia said.

The platform with the motto “Trouve l’Indonésie” (Discover Indonesia), continued Nia, has 18 participants consisting of Indonesian creative economy actors such as crafts, batik, home decoration, aromatics, food and Indonesian cuisine restaurants, catering businesses and others. other.

“For Indonesian artists in France, a special column has also been prepared on this platform to showcase their work and events virtually,” Nia noted.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Consul General for Marseille, Arief Muhammad Basalamah, said this platform was an answer to the concerns of Indonesian entrepreneurs, which since the COVID-19 pandemic occurred in France in early 2020, experienced a significant decrease in business activity and income.

“This platform is expected to provide benefits for entrepreneurs of Indonesian products in France, as well as strengthen and expand networks, and open up opportunities for entrepreneurs in Indonesia to join in, in order to establish business relationships with partners and potential partners in France,” Arief stated.

Arief explained, the platform launched in the webinar “Launching the Indonesian Product Promotion Platform”, has 18 promotional columns from creative economy players. Those who have joined the platform which is still being developed are expected to find it easy to expand the market network because its products can be accessed by business partners and consumers.

Content “Glarane” will continue to be developed interactively from the participation of its members and can be accessed by the public 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
