ALREADY INJECTING VACCINES, BUT THERE ARE THINGS YOU MUST DO WHILE TRAVELING

MEDICAL professionals warn individuals to exercise caution when traveling even after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

As quoted from the Live Mint, the consensus of medical professionals suggests the risk of contracting COVID-19 remains, but freedom of movement can be increased safely, allowing for at least a certain type of travel between individuals with protection against the virus.

One of the many warnings that medical professionals have is that vaccines are not 100% effective. Not only that, it takes time to increase a person’s immunity after getting a vaccine injection.

The COVID-19 vaccines approved to date, in both the United States and Europe, have proven to be extremely safe, effective and the strongest tool in fighting the pandemic. However, there are still unknowns, especially regarding the possibility of transmission after vaccination.

Dr Kristin Englund, Infectious Disease Specialist at the Cleveland Clinic, said individuals should not be able to transmit the virus to other people after getting the vaccine. However, in reality individuals can still catch the virus even after receiving vaccines such as chickenpox or measles.

So, he stressed, there is no reason for individuals to behave differently to COVID-19 or related vaccines. I will get on a plane; I’ll be honest with you,” Englund said.

He explained that he would wear a mask when traveling by plane. Not only that, he will also make sure that the seat he is in is not filled by other people next to him, and still uses hand sanitizer.

He will also pretend like he hasn’t got the vaccine when traveling so take all precautions or health protocols like someone who hasn’t gotten the vaccine because there is nothing wrong with running health protocols. [antaranews]/photo special]
