INDONESIA’S Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani said that the government has disbursed funds of IDR14.2 trillion for the recovery of the tourism sector in Indonesia, which was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision was approved by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati. Quoted from the Twitter account of the Directorate General of Budget, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia (@DitjenAnggaran), the tourism recovery budget has been allocated in the 2021 State Budget.
“The tourism sector as a contributor to the country’s foreign exchange has been hit hard by the corona pandemic. Social restrictions have forced various tourist destinations to close their activities,” he wrote on the official Twitter account @DitjenAnggaran, as quoted on Tuesday (2/1).
“To restore the activity of tourism in the country, the government has budgeted IDR14.2 trillion from the state budget or #UangKita. The Director General of Budget of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia wrote that the development of the tourism sector in 2021 is directed at priority activities in order to restore the tourism sector,” she concluded.
