I GUSTI Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali is getting ready to use COVID-19 detention kits; Genose for tourists who want to enter or leave Bali.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, when inspecting the location of using Genose at the departure terminal of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, Friday (9/4) explained the use of genose testing tools at the airport as an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 for tourists and make it easier for tourists who will visit or leave Bali.
“To reduce the rate of transmission of COVID-19, we must expand the testing. And this testing has used the products of the nation’s children, thus opening up business and economic opportunities, so that mobility is maintained and the pulse of the economy in Bali as the backbone of the national tourism sector can immediately rise and recover with the implementation of strict and disciplined health protocols,” Sandiaga said.
Sandiaga Uno hopes that more genose tools can be produced to provide a sense of security and comfort for tourists who will visit Bali and other destinations in the country. I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport itself already has 8 units of Genose equipment with a testing capacity of 15-20 people per hour.
“The challenge is to present a genose unit that can accommodate many more. There are already 8 units here, and the unit can process 15-20 people per hour, so the capacity is still not maximal, especially since the number of passengers at Bali airport has increased per day, reaching 6,000 people. We continue to encourage genose production so that the process of presenting this genose can be improved,” he noted.
He added, I also hope that other destinations and tourist villages in the country can have similar tools so that they can give a clear signal to tourists that tourism and the creative economy are ready to revive.
“Tourism Ministry is preparing priority destinations to be developed, including one of the tourist villages in various regions in the country. Currently, tourist villages are an alternative for tourist visits based on open nature and culture. We are trying to present it in the next 90 days for the application of genose in tourist villages,” he stated.
Sandiaga explained, especially with the elimination of homecoming, this genose tool is important to be presented in tourist villages. These three raise confidence for tourists and parecraphers, because the massive testing of COVID-19 provides assurance of a sense of security and comfort for tourists.
Meanwhile, one of the European tourists, Alexandra Strelchenko, who was met while waiting in line to carry out the genose process, admitted that he was very happy with the genose testing process which was very easy and fast. So that it simplifies the process to get to the next stage in the airport.
“I am happy because the process is orderly and fast, then the most exciting thing is that my results are negative so that I can return to my country,” she concluded. [traveltext.id]
