TRAVELOKA: BALI AND NATURE TOURISM ARE STILL FAVORITES OF DOMESTIC TOURISTS

THE COVID-19 pandemic has changed travel trends, now people prefer to look for destinations that offer open views.

According to Andhini Putri, VP Marketing Transport & Financial Services Traveloka, said domestic tourists prefer tourist destinations that have outdoor activities. In addition, people’s interest in traveling is also getting higher, this is probably caused by the longing to travel.

“We have a lot of people in Indonesia that offer natural beauty. So, in terms of higher interest and trends, apart from destinations that offer lots of outdoor activities, many people also go on road trips,” said Andhini.

Andhini said there is an increasing trend of people going on road trips, because with road trips they can stop at several destinations at one time. In terms of accommodation, there is a staycation trend, so vacationing in the city is something we will see in 2021.

“If we compare it in 2019, this trend has doubled. Bali and Yogyakarta are still the prima donna for people on vacation, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now the one that is on the rise is Labuan Bajo, people want to see the island, they want to experience the beach elsewhere,” she concluded. [sources/photo special]
