CITILINK is intensifying its expansion to Eastern Indonesia by opening new flight routes, namely Surabaya-Sampit and Surabaya-Pangkalan Bun since July 9, 2021.
According to Citilink President Director Juliandra Nurtjahjo in a press release, Saturday (7/10), the two flights operate daily using ATR 72-600 aircraft. We are committed to always providing easy accessibility for people in the area who have to travel, as well as increasing inter-island connectivity to support the smooth distribution of logistics, especially by air.
He added that apart from connecting Surabaya with Sampit, the opening of this new route also allows people to connect with other cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Denpasar, Lombok and Batam.
“As for the Surabaya-Pangkalan Bun route, people can also connect with other cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Semarang, Medan and Padang. Citilink hopes that the new route can support the economic activities of the local community, so that it can revive the regional economy affected by COVID-19,” said Juliandra.
He explained, for people who will travel using air transportation, Citilink urges them to always pay attention to and fulfill the provisions of the travel documents needed for the area to be visited and continue to apply and comply with strict health protocols through 5M (wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, etc.) stay away from crowds and limit mobilization and interaction) while in the airport area or while on the plane.
