STRATEGY OF TMII IN THE MIDST OF EMERGENCY PPKM & COVID-19 PANDEMIC

IN THE MIDST of COVID-19 pandemic, all businesses innovate in order to survive to run their companies. In addition, there is an Emergency Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) policy which has been extended until July 25, 2021. So that entertainment vehicles such as Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) take steps to survive.

According to I Gusti Ngurah Putu Sedana as Executive Director of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) in Jakarta, Wednesday (7/21) said that currently we are focusing on the transition of management and implementation of better governance for TMII in the future.

“Despite the operational closure of the tourist area, TMII has a strategy for 2021 that is being carried out, namely supporting a number of platforms and museum programs that are still active through digital channels,” he said.

He explained, such as the PP-Science Museum which conducted a Science E-trip which attracted 13-14 thousand virtual visitors. Later that night, we also held a virtual performance of Dewa Ruci’s Wayang Kulit. We do this so that TMII can be reached by all parties.

“For 2021, TMII will continue to make developments and improvements that can attract visitors to come. However, of course, along with all these efforts, TMII must still consider and follow Government policies related to the implementation of travel activities during the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.

For information, TMII has closed operations on June 23, 2021. And continues until July 25, 2021. [antaranews/photo special]
