THE INDONESIA’S Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, hopes that hotels will not raise the white flag in surrender because of sluggish income during the extension of the Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) policy.

Minister Sandiaga promised to assign a special team to prepare the necessary steps for cooperation with tourism and creative economy actors to save business during Level IV PPKM. He also said that the local regent and relevant stakeholders had discussed the issue of raising the flag.
“I appreciate that an agreement has been signed, hopefully it can be continued. I also ask the hotel managers in Garut to replace the white flag with a red and white flag as a sign of optimism for the Indonesian people,” he said.
Hopefully, he continued, hotels and restaurants in Garut can fly the red and white flag early this August and replace the white flag that worries us. [sources/photo special]
