ITALY requires tourists to present a ‘green pass’ showing proof of vaccination, a recent negative test or a test for having recovered from COVID-19, in order to access tourist attractions or places such as bars, restaurants and cafes.
This ‘Green pass’ can be shown on a smartphone or in paper form, obtained by people who can show proof that they have received the COVID-19 vaccine, have been negative for the virus in the last 48 hours, or have recovered from COVID-19 in the past six months.
This rule applies to those over 12 years old. Quoted from the Independent, vaccine certificates issued by the European Union and the Schengen area are valid in Italy, as are certificates issued by the United States, Canada, Japan and Israel.
The ‘Green pass’ allows the owner to enter indoor areas where eating and drinking, cultural and sporting events, museums and other cultural institutions, swimming pools, gyms, sports halls, spas, conferences, playgrounds and casinos can access.
From September 1st, the ‘green pass’ is also required for long-distance flights, boats, trains and bus services. [antaranews]
