Skytrax on its website, Friday, April 16, 2021, has conducted research on the prices of PCR tests at 69 airports in Europe, Africa, Asia, North America and South America. From this study, it was found that there was a price difference of US$396 or IDR5.6 million between the highest and lowest PCR costs. Kansai International Airport, Japan won the highest PCR test fee, which has a price of US$404 or equivalent to IDR5.8 million.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Airport has the lowest PCR test fee, which is set at US$8 or equivalent to IDR115,000. In Europe, the airport that sets the cheapest PCR swab test is Riga Airport, which is priced at US$44 or IDR632,000. Meanwhile, airports in Germany offer a price of US$ 80 or IDR1.15 million. Prices for PCR tests at UK airports vary between US$82 and US$135 or IDR1.17 million and IDR1.9 million.
In America, many airports do not offer on-site PCR testing facilities. However, there are also those who offer this facility, the cheapest of which are Ft Lauderdale Airport at a rate of US$106 or Rp. 1.5 million and San Francisco International Airport at a cost of US$261 or IDR3.75 million for a PCR test.
In Russia, airports offer PCR test prices between US$22 and US$30 or IDR316,000 and IDR431,000 for standard processing with results delivered within 12 hours. At Moscow Sheremetyevo airport, an express PCR test is offered for US$36 with results in less than 2 hours.
