INSTAGRAM is currently testing a feature called Favorites, the content you like will be at the top of the main page.
The Verge, quoted on Saturday, discovered the Favorite feature was first discovered by mobile application developer Alessandro Paluzzi, who tweeted his findings.
Users can enter the account they like into the Favorites feature. Uploads from these accounts will be at the top of the main Instagram page. Selected users can view this Favorite feature under Close Friends.
Currently, the order of content that enters the main Instagram page is based on the most recent uploads and the accounts that users interact with frequently. The algorithm has a weakness, namely that it is possible that the upload is not what the user wants to see.
It is not yet clear whether this feature will be released in the future. In 2017, Instagram tested the Favorite feature, however, in a different form. In 2017, through the Favorites feature, users can limit who can view the content.
Instagram finally in 2018 launched the “Close Friends” feature, where only certain people can see the post. [antaranews/photo special]
