THE Indonesia’s House of Representative (DPR-RI) Commission X approved the definitive ceiling for the 2022 fiscal year proposed by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, which is IDR3,792,417,902,000. The amount of this ceiling has decreased by 22.72% from the budget ceiling of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in 2021, which is IDR4,907,148,382,000.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno in a working meeting with Commission X DPR-RI, Thursday (9/23), said this budget ceiling will be used to implement strategic programs of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in 2022, these strategic programs are implemented in collaboration with ministries/agencies and related parties.
“These various forms of cooperation are to accelerate the recovery of the tourism sector and the creative economy,” said Sandiaga.
The strategic programs designed based on the Government Work Plan (RKP) 2022 include the restoration of Bali tourism and other leading tourism destinations, the development of tourist villages by optimizing the creative economy potential as a driver of the community’s economy, the development of priority tourist destinations, quality tourism diversification, restoration business and creative ecosystem development, and accelerate digital adoption in the tourism and creative economy sectors.
“The six programs were worked on by all deputies from Deputy 1 to Deputy 7 along with the Tourism Authority Agency, PTNP (Tourism State University), and the Secretary of State in an integrated manner to realize quality and sustainable tourism,” he remarked.

Which is the Work Plan and Budget of the Ministry of State/Agency (RKAKL) of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in 2022.
“The shift in the budget ceiling for the management support program with a budget ceiling of IDR1,066,429,392,000 with an addition of IDR27 billion to IDR1,093,429,392,000. Then the tourism and creative economy programs with a budget ceiling of IDR1,703,983,464,000 have changed to IDR1. 676,983,464,000, as well as education and vocational programs with a budget ceiling of IDR1,022,005,046,000,” explained Sandiaga.
On the same occasion, the Chairman of Commission X DPR RI, Syaiful Huda, who also acted as chairperson of the meeting stated that this definitive ceiling approval was aimed at Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy being able to implement national strategic programs that were needed by the community.
“The DPR-RI Commission X and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy agreed that national strategic programs and programs that are very useful and needed by the community will be carried out by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy by taking into account the suggestions, views, and proposals of members of Commission X during the discussion of the Draft State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (RAPBN) for the 2022 fiscal year which has been carried out, in accordance with with the laws and regulations,” said Syaiful.
