BANK INDONESIA (BI) noted that the 2021 Indonesian Creative Work Summit (KKI), which closed on September 26, 2021 virtually, recorded a business meeting commitment of IDR207 billion.
“The holding of the 2021 KKI Peak is clear evidence that gives confidence to all of us that Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are capable of driving Indonesia’s economic revival,” said BI Senior Deputy Governor, Destry Damayanti in her official statement in Jakarta, Monday (9/27).
According to Destry Damayanti said the main capital of MSMEs in the form of creativity and product innovation as well as the spirit to remain strong and rise are important factors in supporting the progress of Indonesian MSMEs as a source of Indonesia’s economic growth.
However, she continued, the end of the 2021 KKI did not stop efforts to continue innovation and various supports to encourage the progress of Indonesian MSMEs, including to be ready to enter the export market in the digital era for Indonesia, Tangguh Indonesia Grows.
The business meeting activity at the KKI Summit involved 34 MSMEs, seven banks and two non-bank financial institutions for the financing business meeting, and 155 MSMEs, four aggregators, and 10 potential buyers from six countries for the export business meeting.
Thus, Destry said that the peak of the 2021 KKI was visited by more than 65,000 visitors when it was held for four virtual days, from 23 September 2021 to 26 September 2021.
In addition, the peak of KKI also recorded a sales turnover of IDR28 billion (until September 25, 2021), an increase compared to sales turnover in KKI 2020 of IDR16.5 billion.
“The peak of the 2021 KKI has a novelty in celebrating MSMEs,” said Destry.
In addition to the celebration of the business meeting agreement, he said there were also graduations and announcements of the best participants of the MSME onboarding program, winners of podcast competitions, and awards for innovative MSMEs assisted by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
