THE LOVE BALI APPLICATION WILL BE UPDATED BEFORE BALI’S TOURISM OPENS

THE LOVEBALI application, developed by the Bali Provincial Government will be updated ahead of Bali’s plan to open international flights in the middle of this month.

“We have received clear instructions from the governor, tourists who come to Bali are required to download, install and use the LOVEBALI application,” said Head of the Information Applications Section, Bali Provincial Communication, Information and Statistics Agency, I Gusti Ngurah Puspa Udiyana, during a virtual press conference with Amazon Web Service, Thursday (10/7).

The Circular Letter of the Governor of Bali Number 15243 of 2020 concerning Requirements for Archipelago Tourists to Visit Bali contains rules for installing this application for tourists who come to Bali.

The Bali of Communication and Information Technology’s Service (Diskominfos) has prepared LOVEBALI since last year, however, at that time COVID-19 cases were still high. Regarding the plan to open Bali to foreign tourists, they will reactivate this application.

LOVEBALI was developed so that the local government can obtain tourism data, which will be processed as a basis for making policies.

According to Udiyana, this application has a tracking feature and travel history similar to PeduliLindungi. For this reason, the Bali Provincial Government discussed with PeduliLindungi regarding the possibility of integration to make it easier for tourists.

“Earlier we met with PeduliLindungi regarding the possibility of integration so that tourists do not enter the same thing in different applications,” said Udiyana.

Diskominfos Bali is also developing a tourist contribution feature by cooperating with BPD Bali for the payment system. In addition to developing features, the Bali Province Diskominfos is also preparing technical matters for the LOVEBALI application, namely the migration of the LOVEBALI system to AWS cloud computing and the integration of the application system.

Bali will be reopened to foreign tourists starting October 14, Bali Governor Wayan Koster on Tuesday (10/5) stated their readiness to open tourism for foreign tourists.

The local government will provide requirements for tourists, including having received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, including PCR results, and filling out the eHac which is integrated with PeduliLindungi and LOVEBALI. [antaranews]
