THE JEMBER FASHION CARNIVAL TO BE HELD HYBRID ON NOVEMBER 20, 2021

THE JEMBER Fashion Carnival (JFC) 2021 will be back on November 20-21, 2021. However, this year’s carnival will be held in a hybrid and closed manner. The location of the event is in the ballroom of a hotel in Jember Regency, East Java.

According to JFC President Budi Setiawan, before the COVID-19 pandemic, JFC was usually held on a 3.6-kilometer-long highway involving thousands of participants from various regions. “The big theme of JFC this year is ‘Virtue Fantasy’ which describes the journey to find the values ​​of life symbolized through fantasy animals, such as loyalty, wisdom, and caring,” said Budi Setiawan

Budi explained that JFC 2021 includes four series of carnival activities, namely Pet and Wonderful Archipelago Indonesia (WACI), Artwear Carnival, International World Kids Carnival, and Grand Carnival.

“There are nine contestants that will appear, namely Komodo, Flaminggo, Elephant, Sea Dragon, Dragonfly, Dove, Unicorn, Honey Bee and Lion,” he said.

He explained that JFC participants included the general public, communities, WACI participants from several provinces, community of pet lovers, and educational institutions. Meanwhile, the International World Kids Carnival was also attended by representatives from several countries online.

“This year’s JFC activities will be combined with tourist destination programs in Jember, so that guests and tourists can participate,” he underlined.

Budi said that the implementation of the 2021 JFC was also part of the symbol of the synergy of developing tourism activities and tourism destinations for the archipelago between the community and the government. In the future, it is believed that JFC’s activities will have a significant impact on improving the community’s economy.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Jember, Hendy Siswanto, supported the implementation of the JFC while still paying attention to health protocols and he hoped that Jember’s superior products could be displayed in the world-class carnival activity.

“We will provide support facilities to JFC in the form of tents, masks, disinfectants, hand sanitizers and other necessities to support health protocols,” he concluded. [antaranews/photo traveltext.id]
