ALL VISITORS CAN FEEL EXPERIENCES LIKE INDONESIANS AT EXPO DUBAI

THE MINISTER of Trade, Muhammad Lutfi said that one of the important things in Indonesia’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai is to provide experiences for visitors to feel and be part of Indonesia.

“Visitors of the Indonesian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will get the experience to be part of Indonesia, experience Indonesian civilization, feel Indonesia’s progress, and see Indonesia’s opportunities. This is very important for Indonesia because of the role and strength of Indonesia from ancient times to the present and the future, ” said Minister Lutfi in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Wednesday (11/3).

This is to show that Indonesia is important to the world, which is also reflected in the Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow zones at the Indonesian Pavilion.

Lutfi conveyed this during his working visit to Dubai to monitor preparations for the Indonesia National Day event. The event is scheduled to take place on November 4, 2021 and is attended by Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

Indonesia has always been one of the leading countries in trade. One of them, commodity spices, namely nutmeg. Nutmeg plays a big role in the world. Without nutmeg seeds, there will be no expeditions because nutmeg seeds are used to preserve foodstuffs.

“Meanwhile, at present, Indonesia is a country in the run that is trying to triple its gross domestic product (GDP) in 2045 and get out of the middle-class economic trap, towards the world’s fifth largest economy. To realize Indonesia Gold 2045, there are two focuses that the government is currently working on, namely infrastructure investment and technology transfer, including the digital economy,” said the Minister of Trade.

The Indonesian Pavilion, he continued, shows that Indonesia is open to business and does not carry out protectionism in trade. This is in line with President Joko Widodo’s message that Indonesia is open to business.

Meanwhile, at the National Day event, in addition to providing experiences, Indonesia will also show Indonesia’s rich culture, natural beauty, and trade opportunities. This best potential will be packaged in a spectacular show using the latest technology at Al Wasl Plaza.

“Indonesia National Day has been awaited and is expected to be a benchmark for the Expo 2020 Dubai participants. The Indonesian Pavilion is one of the pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai which is a favorite for visitors. As of Tuesday, November 2, 2021, visitors to the Indonesian Pavilion have reached more than 200 thousand people,” he remarked.

Interestingly, the Indonesian pavilion also attracts young children and students. A number of student groups are often seen visiting the Indonesian Pavilion. Some of the children were interested in seeing various animals that had never been seen, such as the Komodo dragon and rhino that were displayed on the projector screen in the Today zone.

In addition, in the Tomorrow zone, children who visit are interested in seeing an area that displays the promises made by Indonesian children in various regional clothing to protect the earth together. The pledge is spoken in a number of languages, namely Arabic, Indonesian, English, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese and Korean. [antaranews]
