PT ANGKASA Pura I (AP 1) as the manager of Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) in Temon, Kulon Progo Regency said passenger growth during 2021 had increased by 41.33% from the previous year.
According to the General Manager of YIA, Agus Pandu Purnama, in 2021, the total number of passengers at YIA will be 1,408,633 people. While in the previous year there were 996,681 passengers.
“Going forward, we remain committed to improving services at YIA in providing comfort and security for every airport service user,” said Pandu, Sunday (1/02)
He said, apart from passengers, growth also occurred in cargo movement. During 2021, cargo movement increased by 15.03%. This brings it to 7,294,988-kilogram cargo. While the total movement of aircraft during 2021 is 11,733 movements.
