INJOURNEY HOPES THAT REVITALIZATION OF TMII WILL BE COMPLETED IN OCT, 2022

PT AVIASI Wisata Indonesia or InJourney as the holding company for Tourism and Supporting State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) hopes that the revitalization of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) will be completed in October this year.

“This revitalization process is expected to be completed in October 2022 for several key areas. Of course, this process will involve many parties who have the competence and understand the essence of the existence of TMII in the first place,” said InJourney President Director Dony Oskaria in a written statement received in Jakarta, Sunday (1/23).

Dony explained that TMII’s operating hours are still in the process of being discussed between TWC and the Ministry of State Secretariat, so that it can still be partially opened even though it is in the revitalization stage.

This revitalization will certainly make TMII as The Ultimate Showcase of Indonesia. This means that TMII will be revitalized carrying the concept of Indonesia Opera which represents the diversity and richness of regional potential and Indonesian culture in a modern and inspiring way.

“In the future, TMII, which we are proud of, will continue to be an educational recreation center that displays diversity, education for the Indonesian archipelago, fun cable cars, charming traditional house pavilions, and the legendary golden snail will be returned to be the pride of all of us,” he said.

InJourney continues to be committed to encouraging the revival of the tourism sector, one of which is by revitalizing TMII.

Through its subsidiary, PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko or TWC, InJourney ensures that TWC can develop and make TMII change for the better without losing the identity, character, diversity and beauty of Indonesia. Moreover, TWC is a company that has been active in the field of Heritage Destination Management for a long time.

For information, TWC has officially become the manager of TMII on July 1, 2021 through the TMII Utilization Cooperation (KSP) between the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensesneg) and TWC for a period of 25 years.

InJourney will continue to encourage and supervise so that this revitalization process runs according to the target so that TMII can become one of the cultural and educational tourism destinations that the Indonesian people can immediately enjoy. [antaranews/photo special]
