ONE OF the largest online travel agents (OTA) in Indonesia, Pegipegi has chosen to work with Oracle on the implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to help streamline its business processes and improve integration between its online ticketing platform and financial operations.
This deployment can help integrate all of its business applications, including procurement and financial software related to non-travel bookings, to modernize business operations and drive Pegipegi’s competitive advantage.
“With the re-opening of travel and hotel bookings, Pegipegi needs a flexible solution to adapt to support changes in customer travel preferences and provide a reliable online travel booking system,” said Head of Finance Pegipegi Wisnu Wardono in a statement, Wednesday (1/26).
Pegipegi connects more than 25,000 flight routes and hotel options as well as more than 2,800 train routes on online ticketing and booking platforms through websites and mobile applications. Pegipegi faces many challenges in providing financial data for reporting to internal and external shareholders and stakeholders, this is due to the traditional financial system that relies on manual input.
As the Indonesian travel industry gradually reopens, Pegipegi needs modern cloud software that provides a unified platform for its online operations and financial data. After thoroughly reviewing several cloud ERP offerings from various vendors, Pegipegi chose Oracle Cloud ERP, including Oracle Fusion Cloud Procurement.
“We chose Oracle Cloud ERP to streamline our financial processes by gaining better visibility into the business so that we can make more informed decisions. With a continuous stream of innovation, we can modernize our business and better serve our customers,” said Wisnu.
With Oracle Cloud ERP, Pegipegi can standardize its business processes to help increase productivity, reduce costs and improve company operational control.
The analytics and machine learning capabilities embedded in Oracle systems can enable enterprises to streamline access to data and expand reporting processes for more strategic decision making.
The addition of Oracle Cloud Procurement can help Pegipegi enable strategic sourcing, improve supplier relationship management and simplify the purchasing process. Moreover, it results in better internal control, lower risk, better savings and higher profitability.
“There has been a major change in consumer behavior and the travel industry is at the forefront of dealing with this change,” said Iman Muhammad, Head of Applications at Oracle Indonesia.
“By switching to Oracle Cloud ERP, Pegipegi can take advantage of the latest cloud innovations to help its management team make more strategic and informed decisions. We are proud and continue to be committed to providing the technology that drives Pegipegi’s next phase of growth and innovation.”
In assisting the implementation of this Oracle solution, PT. Optima Data Internasional as Oracle partner and distributor will implement this solution for Pegipegi and is expected to be completed in early 2022. [antaranews/photo special]
