STAYCATION EXPERIENCE, ARTOTEL PARTNERS WITH STB PRESENTS SINGAPORE-THEMED

FIVE exclusive Singapore-themed rooms feature murals painted by local Indonesian artists. Each room is designed according to different passion tribes to encourage Indonesians to reimagine travel to Singapore.

According to Yulia Maria, Director of Marketing Communications ARTOTEL Group said ARTOTEL Group and Singapore Tourism Board (STB) have collaborated to present five exclusive and one-of-a-kind Singapore-themed hotel rooms at ARTOTEL Jakarta-Thamrin. The collaboration aims to entrench Singapore as an exciting travel destination in the minds of Indonesians and encourage them to reimagine travel to Singapore in the near future.

“The five exclusive Singapore-themed hotel rooms, which are available starting from 28 January 2022, are designed according to five different passion tribes – foodies, collectors, explorers, socialisers and culture shapers – that reflect the diverse experiences in Singapore that cater to visitors with different passions. In Singapore, it is more than who you are, but who you can be,” she said.

Yulia Maria explained that the rooms feature wall murals painted by local Indonesian artists, Melissa Sunjaya, Tutu, Irskiy, Tuyuloveme and Sicovegas. The wall murals are painted according to the artist’s interpretation of each passion tribe. Guests staying in a Singapore themed room can pose for Instagrammable photos with the wall murals, to remember their past holidays to Singapore or reimagine travel to Singapore.

STB’s brand and SingapoReimagine videos will also be looped across all ARTOTEL Group properties in Indonesia as part of this partnership, to further engage audiences nationwide. “However, to stay at the staycation package among the 5 rooms, the price is set at IDR1 million nett, per night, including lunch and dinner,” Yulia Maria noted.

Meanwhile Mohamed Firhan Abdul Salam, Area Director of STB Indonesia (Jakarta) said STB’s collaboration with ARTOTELGroup, one of Indonesia’s leading boutique hotel and lifestyle groups, hopes to meet the anticipation of Indonesians eager to visit Singapore. Singapore was one of the most popular holiday destinations for Indonesians before the pandemic and many have been longing to revisit their favourite attractions and explore many new ones launched recently.

“While planning for their next trip to Singapore through the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL), Indonesians can now enjoy offerings and exclusive deals to reimagine travel to Singapore through a local staycation experience that introduces the sights, foods, arts and culture of Singapore to them,” he said.

Firhan added that guests who sign up for the staycation experience can expect to enjoy a variety of works of art, culture, and Singaporean specialties that are exclusive to five Singapore-themed rooms at ARTOTEL Thamrin-Jakarta. Each stay comes with a welcome goodie bag filled with printed artwork souvenirs, Mie Sedaap Singapore Spicy Laksa, and ‘Made with Passion’ products including Gryphon Tea and Ya Kun Kaya Toast Jam.

Besides the attractive welcome souvenirs, guests can participate in virtual experiences from Singapore brands. These include virtual mocktail making by the Elephant Room, where they can create simple Singapore-style mocktails, meditation classes by WeBarre, and a virtual tour titled ‘Top 8 Places for Street Art in Little India’ by Everyday Tour Company.

Just for your info, he continued that Singapore’s tourism sector has experienced a resurgence and innovation in recent months, adapting to meet the needs of tourists and ensuring that every aspect of their visit is safe and enjoyable. Along with the gradual reopening of the border for leisure travel, Singapore has launched Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTL) to more than 20 countries and regions, including Indonesia.

“Between January and December 2021, 330,000 international visitors arrived in Singapore, including 33,000 from Indonesia which was amongst the top three visitor source markets in 2021. Tourists visiting Singapore will encounter new experiences as part of the ‘SingapoReimagine’ initiative, as well as enhanced safety measures for greater peace of mind which will become the new standard for tourist travel to Singapore,” he concluded.
