In general, the feedback is very good, the level of satisfaction related to MotoGP is very high,” said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, in the Weekly Press Briefing which was held in a hybrid from Sapta Pesona Building, Monday (3/28).

Although, said Sandiaga, there are inputs or results that are still low in satisfaction. Such as related to local transportation and parking facilities. We take this as a note that we will convey to related parties including ITDC.

“Based on the quick count results, the demographic of visitors to the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP of 72.98% comes from the millennial generation. Besides West Nusa Tenggara, DKI Jakarta and West Java are the provinces with the most visitors to the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP,” he remarked.

While related to transportation, as many as 60.61% use planes as the main mode of transportation and 22.73 percent use private transportation. Hotels and homestays are the main choice of accommodation for tourists while visiting Lombok with an average length of stay of 4.2 days.

During the visit, the average tourist expenditure was approximately Rp. 10 million. Hospitality and supporting destinations are the factors that get the highest satisfaction when compared to other supporting factors. Cleanliness and local transport are the factors that get the lowest satisfaction when compared to other factors.

“However, 88.71% of respondents have plans to return to the Mandalika MotoGP event in the next season,” he added.

Meanwhile, the evaluation material is that most of the respondents conveyed that the transportation system and management needed to be improved, especially shuttle buses and parking management. In addition, the circuit ecosystem infrastructure has not yet been completed, which is expected to be much more ready next year.

In addition, the Ministry of Tourism also conducted a survey related to the satisfaction level of residents of Sarhunta (Tourism Residential Facilities). Especially Sarhunta who has been verified by Indonesia Care.

He explained, it was known that 50% of guests staying at Sarhunta during the MotoGP event were MotoGP spectators. 17.6% of guests booked lodging through travel, while others booked directly to the owner. Most tourists who choose to stay at Sarhunta come from Jakarta, followed by West Java, East Java, NTB, and Bali.

In terms of cleanliness, guests are generally satisfied, even more than 55% said they were very satisfied. From other Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) factors, namely health, guests are satisfied with the implementation of health protocols and the availability of adequate Sarhunta facilities. On the safety dimension, generally guests are also satisfied and the level of security in the room is more than 55.9% of guests are very satisfied.

“Based on these data, it can be seen that this high level of satisfaction is expected to stimulate the local economy, open up business opportunities, and create jobs. Their level of satisfaction also means that the quality of this homestay can be our basic reference material to build the next Sarhunta,” finished Sandiaga. [traveltext.id]
