INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS AT SOETTA AIRPORT SOARED DRASTICALLY DURING EID 2022

DURING the Eid 2022 transportation, the number of international passengers at Soekarno-Hatta (Soetta) Airport increased dramatically.

According to the Head of the Main Service Office of Customs and Excise at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Finari Manan explained, during Lebaran transportation yesterday, there could be 55 international flights a day.

“International arrivals have increased. Usually, 30-44 international arrival flights per day, increased today to 55 international arrivals,” explained Finari, Monday (5/16).

Meanwhile, the Executive General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Agus Haryadi also said that the trend of international passenger traffic was increasing. Since last weekend, there have been around 30,000 international passengers during the 2022 Eid transport.

“We also convey that the trend of international flight traffic is also increasing. So, today it is 15 thousand. If you count in-out, it is approximately doubled to around 30 thousand. So, this number is quite prospective,” Agus remarked.

He added, I also hope that after Lebaran 2022 flights can recover. We hope that after this Eid, COVID-19 will remain under good control so that flights will return to normal as usual.

“In the Lebaran transportation period D-10 to D+4 (20 April – 7 May 2022) the number of passenger movements at all Angkasa Pura II airports penetrated 2.9 million people with aircraft movements reaching 23,478 flights,” he concluded. [sources/photo special]
