Services from Grab Indonesia in collaboration with PT. The Borobudur Temple Tourism Park also offers Grab Tour services to strengthen the potential of tourist villages and provide more experiences for tourists, as well as increase the productivity of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through Grab Mart and Grab Food.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno said that today there is another collaboration for economic and tourism revival in the super priority destination of Borobudur. I thank Grab Indonesia for presenting environmentally friendly motorbikes.

“This eco-friendly vehicle is designed for an affordable price for tourists who will reduce their carbon footprint,” said Sandiaga Uno at the launch of “Grab’s Eco-Friendly Electric Vehicle Service at the Borobudur Tourism Village”, Tuesday (5/17).

Sustainable tourism does not only look at environmental issues and environmental welfare, but also must promote local culture, society, and traditional knowledge. And create a balance of mass tourism and quality tourism.

To achieve this, a multi-stakeholder approach is needed, both the tourism, public and private sectors need to be involved and collaborate with each other and with local communities.

“We have a commitment to sustainable tourism and it turns out that it is sustainable tourism that opens up business opportunities for MSME merchants and also jobs. Previously, we have seen MSMEs being fostered and after this there will be trainings,” said Sandiaga.

This 50-vehicle electric vehicle service will be used in the near future so that it can be used by tourists during the upcoming holidays.

“And I hope that more will be rolled out in the future and cooperate with tourist villages and Balkondes. And support the program that we have initiated, namely the trail of civilization. I encourage Grab and other collaborating partners to reach as many tourist villages as possible because there are 3,500 tourist villages that already exist in the tourist village network that we collect at the Tourism Minsitry,” Sandiaga remarked.

Meanwhile, President of Grab Indonesia, Ridzki Kramadibrata, said that this service is a commitment from Grab Indonesia in supporting the development of tourism and the Indonesian creative economy towards quality and sustainable tourism and creative economy.
