THE MINISTRY of Foreign Affairs Forum (Foreign Ministers Meeting) which is part of the G20 event in July 2022, will also involve the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector. As stated by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, there will be around 100 MSMEs and 40 hotels that will participate in this presidency.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, in an online Weekly Press Briefing, Monday (6/20) said that the Supply Chain Strengthening activity in Bali as part of celebrating the G20 will be attended by 100 MSMEs and approximately 40 hotels.
Sandiaga hopes that the G20 Indonesia Presidency will be a momentum to increase contributions to the recovery of the domestic economy and the recovery of local MSME products that can be marketed at the G20 Tourism Working Group (TWG) and Tourism Minister Meeting (TMM). This is because the Ministry of Tourism will also use local MSME products in giving souvenirs to delegates at the TWG and TMM meetings.
Domestic consumption from the visit of the G20 country delegation and optimizing the role of MSMEs are also expected to provide direct benefits from the economic aspect, including increasing the country’s foreign exchange.
“As for local MSME products, the delegation’s souvenirs will showcase the richness of Indonesian culture as contained in creative products. But for what kind of souvenir product, it is still in the discussion stage, “he said.
