TOURISM VILLAGE CAPABLE OF ACCELERATING INDONESIA’S ECONOMIC RECOVERY

Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani explained, in the tourism village program, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy integrates local accommodation, attraction, and complementarity under village governance with local wisdom. This program has proven to improve the livelihoods of rural communities, as demonstrated in Penglipuran Tourism Village in Bali, where the village was able to generate more than US$1.45 million in income in 2020.

“The Ministry of Tourism also encourages capacity building of skilled human resources in tourist villages through reskilling and upskilling programs, so that they can provide the best and competitive services.
