According to AP I President Director Faik Fahmi, the management of Batam airport will be carried out under the banner of PT Batam International Airport (PT BIB). PT Bandara Internasional Batam (PT BIB) is a consortium formed by PT Angkasa Pura I with 51% share ownership, Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) 30 percent shares and the remaining 19 percent shares belong to WIKA.

“Batam International Airport will be managed as of July 1, 2022 by PT BIB with a management period of 25 years,” he said in an official statement, Sunday (6/26).

Faik Fahmi is optimistic about the prospects for Batam’s Hang Nadim Airport. This transfer of management is a major achievement for the company in proving the capability and quality of AP I in managing the airport.

He is determined to be able to develop Hang Nadim Airport into an influential airport, especially as an air cargo logistics center not only in Indonesia, but also in the Asian region.

“This management is also the first step in the company’s business transformation carried out by Angkasa Pura I to increase the company’s revenue potential,” he concluded. [sources/photo special]
