The hotel staff with the help of local residents tried to put out the blaze using the available means. The blaze which broke out at around 7 p.m. could be extinguished at around 10 p.m.
“Because the wind blew strongly and the roof of the building was made of coarse grass the fire spread quickly to other buildings. In total, 59 rooms were burned down,” he said.
The fire forced the evacuation of tourists staying at the hotel to a safer place in order to avoid eventualities. There was no immediate report of injuries or casualties. [antaranews]
