INDONESIA ranks first as the largest contributor of tourists to the Singapore throughout 2022. This trend indicates that Singapore is one of the favorite tourist destinations for travelers from Indonesia (RI).

Unmitigated, the number of Indonesian tourists to Singapore reached 282,000 people from January to June 2022.

This has encouraged STB to be more diligent in holding tourism campaigns to boost Singapore’s tourism. One of them, through a campaign titled “Singaporeimagine”. As part of the campaign, STB held a Singapore Networking Session (B2B Tabletop) at the JS Luwansa Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday (8/11).

“The B2B Tabletop event is expected to be a momentum for tourism players to network and open up business opportunities between Singaporean and Indonesian tourism players,” said Firhan.

Firhan added, the Singapore B2B Tabletop Networking Session that was held this time was the first after two years of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the event, STB brought in more than 30 Singapore partners, ranging from attraction providers, hotels, tour operators, destination management companies (DMC), enrichment programs, cruise operators, as well as 150 travel agents from Jakarta.

He explained that the Singapore B2B Tabletop Networking Session was held in six major cities in Indonesia. After Jakarta, the same event can be found in Surabaya, Bali, Medan, Makassar, and Pekanbaru. Through this campaign, Singapore is committed to improving the experience of international tourists in terms of sanitation, hygiene, and innovation.
