TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY OFFICIALLY ADJUSTS ONLINE MOTORCYCLE TAXI FARES

THE Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation has officially adjusted the fare for online motorcycle taxis which will take effect from Saturday, September 10, 2022.

“For Zone I and Zone III there is an increase of 6 to 10% in service costs. The adjustment is made following the increase in fuel prices,” said Director General of Land Transportation Hendro Sugiatno at a press conference in Jakarta, Wednesday (9/7).

Hendro revealed, in the Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number KP 564 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for Calculation of Fees for the Use of Motorcycles Used for the Interest of the Community.

The increase in online motorcycle taxi tariffs is as follows:
Zone I online motorcycle taxis tariffs (Sumatra, Bali, and Java other than Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi), Lower limit service fee: IDR2,000/km, Upper limit service fee: IDR2,500/km, Minimum service fee with service fee range from IDR8,000 to IDR10,000.

Zone II online motorcycle taxis tariffs (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi/Jabodetabek)

Lower limit service fee: IDR2,550/km, Upper limit service fee: IDR2,800/km, Minimum service fee with service fee range between IDR10,200-IDR11,200.

Zone III online motorcycle taxis tariffs (Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara and surrounding areas, Maluku and Papua), Lower limit service fee: IDR2,300/km, Upper limit service fee: IDR2,750/km, Minimum service fee with service fee range between IDR9,200-IDR11,000.

As for the previous KP 548 of 2020, the details of the applicable online motorcycle taxis  tariffs are:
Zone I online motorcycle taxis tariffs (Sumatra, Bali, and Java other than Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi), Lower limit service fee: IDR1,850/km, Upper limit service fee: IDR2,300/km, Minimum service fee with service fee range between IDR7,000-Rp10,000).

Zone II online motorcycle taxis tariffs (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi/Jabodetabek), Lower limit service fee: IDR2,250, Upper limit service fee: IDR2,650, Minimum service fee with service fee range between IDR9,000-IDR10,500.

Zone III online motorcycle taxis tariffs (Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara and surrounding areas, Maluku and Papua), Lower limit service fee: IDR2,100/km, Upper limit service fee: IDR2,600/km, Minimum service fee with service fee range between IDR7,000-IDR10,000.

Hendro further said that for Zone II there was an increase in the cost of the lower limit of 13.33% and the upper limit of 6%. This increase was also influenced by several components of service costs such as VAT, UMR, and others.

He added that the service costs were divided into two, namely direct costs and indirect costs. Direct costs include an increase in the minimum wage, driver insurance, and service fees for a minimum order of 4 kilometers, and most recently the increase in fuel prices. Meanwhile, indirect costs in the form of application usage rental are a maximum of 15%. [antaranews]
