The Directorate of Film, Music and Media, Directorate General of Culture, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, on 7-11 September 2022, held the Indonesia Bertutur or Indonesia Speaking Festival which is a series of G20 events as a concrete step to maintain a sustainable culture.
Indonesia said that 2022 is the first event held in the context of the meeting of the Ministers of Culture of the G20 member countries with the theme “Experiencing the Past Growing the Future”.
This festival not only takes place in zone II of the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park, but also involves places in the Borobudur area to hold a number of works of art, namely the Elo Progo Art House, H. Widayat Museum, Limanjawi Gallery, Apple Watu Gallery, and focus on activities in the lower court at Lumbini and Aksobya.
The Indonesian Bertutur Festival is planned to be held every two years, so that cultural heritage in Indonesia is expected to be a source of knowledge that can be conveyed again by adjusting to current conditions. Told through various ways and new media.
According to Director General of Culture Hilmar Farid said that the Indonesian Speaking Festival is a festival that focuses on reflection on cultural heritage, but uses new media.
