APPARENTLY, TOURIST VISITS TO BALI REACH AVERAGE 10 THOUSAND PER DAY

TOURIST visits to Bali average 10 thousand people per day, but in overall, 894,667 foreign tourist visits to Bali during January-August 2022.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno in weekly press briefing at the Lobby Lt. 2, Sapta Pesona Building Ministry of Tourism, Monday (10/10) said that despite the threat of an economic recession.

“I ensure that the target of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia of 1.8-3.6 million people can be achieved at the middle threshold of around 2.5 million people.

Furthermore, Sandiaga emphasized that the target of visiting foreign tourists and domestic tourists will be increased in 2023 by increasing the number of flights.

“For domestic tourists, the target is 1.4 billion people. We are far behind compared to countries like China and Australia, whose foreign tourist visits are also much higher than ours,” said Sandiaga.

He added, I hope that investors in the tourism and creative economy sectors (parekraf) can invest in various leading sectors such as hotels, restaurants and cafes.

“The Ministry of Tourism is eyeing an investment of US$6-8 billion in five Super Priority Destinations (DSP), eight Special Economic Zones (KEK), and three sustainable tourism destinations. If the investment target is achieved, it will create 4.4 million jobs in 2024,” concluded Sandiaga Uno. [traveltext.id]
