VISA ON ARRIVAL FOR FOREIGNERS IS ONLY VALID FOR SIX ACTIVITIES

FOREIGN Citizens who are included in the subject of Visa on Arrival can use VoA for several activities other than tourism, one of which is business talks. The statement was submitted by the Directorate General of Immigration issued in Circular Letter Number IMI-0700.GR.01.01 on September 14, 2022.

“Visa on Arrival can be used for six types of activities, namely tourist visits, government duty visits, business talks visits, goods purchase visits, meeting visits and transit,” said Sub-Coordinator of Public Relations of the Directorate General of Immigration, Achmad Nur Saleh, quoted from the website of the Directorate General of Immigration, Tuesday (10/18).

He added, we need to emphasize that the use of Visa on Arrival is strictly limited to the six activities, nothing more. As for foreigners who come for purposes such as attending seminars, training, or conducting inspections and audits, they must apply for another visa that is more suitable.

The nine subject countries of the BVK include Brunei Darussalam, the Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
