HOTEL ROOM OCCUPANCY IN S. BALI ROSE SIGNIFICANTLY DURING THE G20 SUMMIT

THE occupancy rate of hotel rooms in South Bali jumped significantly during the G20 Summit. The G20 Summit also has a positive impact on the tourism ecosystem and the creative economy.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Badung, Bali, Tuesday (11/14) said it was super, so in the South Bali area the increase in occupancy was very significant.

Sandiaga said, hotel room occupancy in the Nusa Dua area has reached 100%, while in the area around Nusa Dua it is above 80%. Meanwhile in the South Bali region the occupancy rate is at 70%. Even the occupancy rates in other areas of Bali such as North Bali, West Bali and East Bali have also increased.

“So this shows not only one location in Nusa Dua but also felt by all of Bali. The G20 Summit also has a positive impact on the tourism ecosystem and the creative economy. This can be seen from the increase in vehicle leasing, the soaring sales of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), to the creation of new jobs,” he said.

He explained, vehicle rentals were also very full, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) were helped by sales increasing two to three times and jobs were also created, and this is part of the creation of 1.1 million new jobs this year in the tourism sector. [antaranews/photo special]
