TWO TOURISM PROGRAMS INCREASES THE CONTRIBUTION OF DOMESTIC PRODUCTS

THE MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy revealed that the combination of Proud to be Made in Indonesia (Bangga Buatan Indonesia) and Proud to Travel in Indonesia (Bangga Berwisata di Indonesia) can increase the contribution of domestic products.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno said if we can successfully marry Proudly Made in Indonesia with Proud to Travel in Indonesia, then later the contribution from the economic sector of the products will make us the hosts in our own country and will reach Indonesia Gold 2045.

He also expressed his appreciation to all cross ministries/state agencies, especially the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises for holding the 2022 Proud Made in Indonesia Award.

“Tonight we also launched Proud to Travel in Indonesia with the tagline #DiIndonesiaAja. Our task is to reach 1.4 billion Indonesian tourist movements next year,” Sandiaga said.

The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves) and the Ministry of SOEs collaborated to hold the Proud Made in Indonesia Award 2022 in Jakarta, Tuesday (13/12).

On the same occasion, the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises together with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy launched Proud to Travel in Indonesia.

The launch was attended by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Deputy Minister  of State-Owned Enterprises II, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, Minister Sandiaga Uno, Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB), Abdullah Azwar Anas, and other officials.

Meanwhile Deputy Minister of BUMN II, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said, the Proud Made in Indonesia Award 2022 is a Proud Made in Indonesia (BBI) program initiated by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment three years ago whose goal is how spending from the State Budget or the government is aimed at Indonesian Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

“For three years, starting from the COVID-19 pandemic, we have tried to put many MSMEs on board. Currently, there are 21 million MSMEs already on board to the platform to purchase procurement,” said Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, also known as Tiko.

He hopes that from year to year the percentage of use of domestic products will continue to increase and tonight the Proud Made in Indonesia Award gives awards to MSMEs that have well-curated products.

“There are fashion, culinary and other things. It is hoped that in the future more MSMEs will enter the platform for purchases by BUMN, state institutions and local governments,” Tiko concluded. [antaranews/photo special]
