TOURISM MINISTRY PROMOTES VILLAGE TOURISM AT ASTINDO TRAVEL FAIR 2023

THE INDONESIAN Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy invites the public to travel to #diIndonesiaAja tourism villages through promotion at the Wonderful Indonesia booth at the ASTINDO Travel Fair (ATF) 2023 which will be held on February 23-26, 2023 at ICE BSD.

The purpose of the participation of this tourism village is to introduce the tourism village to participants and visitors of the ASTINDO Travel Fair exhibition with the concept of “Beti Dewi Goes To Mall” which lasts for 4 days.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, in his statement on Saturday (02/25), said visitors can look for tourism village packages offered by tourism village managers at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy booth.

“We are facilitating and promoting 9 tourist villages at the Ministry’s booth from Banten, DKI Jakarta, West Java, and East Java provinces at the ASTINDO Travel fair 2023,” Sandiaga said.

The nine tourist villages are Saba Baduy Tourism Village and Sukarame Tourism Village from Banten Province; Glodok Chinatown Tourism Village and Betawi Cultural Village from DKI Jakarta Province; Mulyaharja Tourism Village, Batulayang Tourism Village, Ciburial Tourism Village, and Hanjeli Tourism Village from West Java Province; and Tamansari Tourism Village from East Java.

Furthermore, Sandiaga added that the travel exhibition initiated by the Indonesian Travel Agent Association (ASTINDO) is one way to increase the movement of domestic tourists as the backbone of the country’s tourism industry. For this reason, the government is present with the industry so that the tourism ecosystem remains conducive.

“ASTINDO Travel Fair also supports the promotion of domestic tourism, tour packages, tourist village activities, and encourages the Proud to Travel in Indonesia (BBWI) Movement in line with the Government program which aims to increase the number of archipelago tourist movements in 2023 which is targeted to reach 1.2 to 1.4 billion movements or trips,” Sandiaga remarked.

ASTINDO has routinely organized Travel Fair since 2010 which provides a reference for the Indonesian people in planning travel and accommodates tourism players to promote tourist destinations and support the progress of the tourism industry in Indonesia.

Entering its 13th year, ASTINDO Travel Fair offers a variety of tickets and tour packages at low prices to various destinations both domestic and abroad. ASTINDO Travel Fair (ATF) 2023 will be held simultaneously in several regions namely Tangerang, Surabaya, Medan, and Bali. There are 78 booths provided by the organizers filled with participants from travel agents, airlines, to Tourism Promotion Organizations (NTOs). [traveltext.id]
