TO PRESERVE CULTURAL HERITAGE, QUANTUM TEMPLE LAUNCHES WEB 3.0 PLATFORM

THE MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy supports Quantum Temple as a Web 3.0 Platform in preserving cultural heritage in the country through blockchain technology in the form of NFT (Non Fungible Token).

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno in the “Weekly Press Briefing” at the Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta, Monday (03/13), 2023 explained, Quantum Temple had won the 2023 “Awake Tourism Challenge” award from the United Nations World Tourism Organization’s for the “Local community Involvement” category.

“Quantum Temple introduces the richness of cultural heritage through the NFT Collection which allows collectors to discover, learn, and provide transparent social impact for cultural heritage practitioners from around the world,” Sandiaga said.

Quantum Temple and the Deputy for Digital Economy and Creative Products of the Ministry of tourism have signed a joint understanding in the development of digital economy and ecraf products through blockchain technology.

The ‘Paths to Alangö’ NFT Collection has been introduced at the Soft Launch event on February 10, 2023 at Tirta Empul Temple, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in Bali and will be officially introduced at the Official Launch Event of Quantum Temple ‘Paths to Alangö’ NFT Collection on March 21, 2023 at L’Atelier des Lumières in Paris, France as a Side Event of Paris Blockchain Week 2023.

Meanwhile, Deputy for Digital Economy and Creative Products of the Ministry of Tourism, M Neil El Himam explained that the collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and Quantum Temple is a form of combination between the future and heritage with the digital economy and ecraf products through blockchain technology in this case NFT.

“In addition to being able to conserve heritage to digital assets, through the sale of these NFTs there will be royalties so as to provide a new source of income for creators and communities, in this case Quantum Temple makes NFTs in the form of cultural heritage videos in Bali,” he remarked.

Neil El Himam concluded that Quantum Temple itself promotes NFTs such as videos of Jatiluwih, and Besakih Temple. This allows collectors to have a social impact for cultural heritage practitioners,” [traveltext.id]
