SEVEN BEAUTIFUL BEACH DESTINATIONS IN NUSA PENIDA BALI

A VISIT to Bali is incomplete if you don’t visit its beach destinations. If you have the opportunity to go to the Island of the Gods, you can try to find a new atmosphere by going to Nusa Penida.

Nusa Penida also offers natural scenery and a series of beaches that are very charming. With an area of 202 square kilometers, one of the three most famous small islands in the southeastern part of Bali, has quite unique geographical conditions.

Here are seven tourist attractions with beautiful views that can be visited:
1. Kelingking Beach
After being selected as the ‘Top 16 Best Beaches in the World 2023’, Kelingking Beach does offer “something interesting” to tourists. This beach is often referred to as one of the hidden gems in Nusa Penida.

At Kelingking Beach, there is a unique coral cliff curve that looks like the neck of a Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex) that juts out onto the beach.

This beach has a popular diving spot called Manta Point. There, you can dive underwater and see the beauty of the Manta fish (the largest stingray in the world) while swimming freely with it.

2. Molenteng Hill
Molenteng Hill offers you the beauty of a cluster of coral islands called the Thousand Islands of Nusa Penida. Blue sea, white sand, and coral rocks wrapped in green trees are presented beautifully in front of the eyes.

This hill is also often referred to as Bali’s Raja Ampat. If you visit here, it is recommended to come in the morning and evening because Bukit Moleteng is suitable for hunting sunrises and sunsets with an impressive background of the open ocean.

3. Atuh Beach
Atuh Beach is also often called Bali’s Raja Ampat. On this beach, you can find four clusters of stunning coral islands including; Batu Melawang Island, Batu Paon Island, Batu Abah Island, and Bukit Jineng Island.

Interestingly, each of these coral islands has a different character. Some are wrapped in a stretch of green forest to islands that have sharp coral rocks. However, there is one uniqueness of Atuh Beach that is always targeted by local and foreign tourists, namely the existence of Batu Bolong, a large chunk of coral with a hole in the middle.

4. Broken Beach
Broken Beach, also known as Pasih Uug Beach by locals, is located in the western part of Nusa Penida. In Balinese, pasih uug means broken beach. Interestingly, this beach offers damage that is actually special. In fact, the scenery is said to be similar to tourist attractions in New Zealand.

Broken Beach itself is surrounded by green hills on one side and blue sea water on the other. Its location far from residential areas makes this beach have a calmer atmosphere. Another uniqueness is the large rock with a hole like a cave, which seems to be the entrance of sea water.

5. Teletubbies Hill
Teletubbies Hill offers an exotic and Instagramable natural charm. The limestone hills that dominate make grasslands grow lushly. As a result, the surface of the hill is covered with beautiful grasslands.

Apart from being a hill tourist destination, Teletubbies Hill is often used as a location for prospective brides to take pictures. Moreover, the beautiful background of the hill is often chosen as a favorite photo point by tourists.

6. Crystal Bay
As the name implies, Crystal Bay has crystal clear sea water. Located about 15 kilometers from Nusa Penida Harbor, this tourist spot comes with a very wide stretch of sand with a coastline reaching one kilometer.

Crystal Bay looks even more beautiful because it is surrounded by a cluster of small atolls and green hills that refresh the view. Visiting here, tourists can feel a very calm atmosphere because this beach is still relatively quiet.

7. Giri Putri Cave
When visiting Nusa Penida, don’t forget to stop by Giri Putri Cave. Located at an altitude of 150 meters above sea level and about 310 meters long, this cave, which is also a temple, is a place for tourists who are curious about the religious rituals performed and the sacred atmosphere inside.

In addition to being a place of worship, Hindus believe the water flowing from the springs here contains natural powers that can cure diseases.

If you are visiting Nusa Penida from Bali, you can travel via Sanur Harbor by fast boat, which takes about 40 minutes. While from Kusamba Beach, it usually takes about 30 minutes. [antaranews]
