HANG NADIM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OPEN FOUR NEW DOMESTIC FLIGHT ROUTES

HANG NADIM International Airport opened four new flight routes to serve passengers from Batam City to a number of areas in Indonesia.

“We have opened four new flight routes this month from Batam to several areas,” said the President Director of PT Batam International Airport (BIB), Pikri Ilham Kurniansyah when contacted in Batam, Riau Islands, recently.

He explained that the four new flight routes were Batam-Bandung, Batam Yogyakarta, Batam-Makassar and Batam-Lombok. With the opening of these four new flight routes, we will continue to try to open routes for other flights, especially for flight routes to eastern Indonesia which are still minimal.

“We are currently prioritizing flights to the eastern region to open immediately. Not only to the east, his party also targets flight routes from Batam’s Hang Nadim Airport to reach all provinces in Indonesia by 2023,” he remarked.

He explained, as for our target this year, how flights from Batam can be connected to all provinces in Indonesia. Our office would continue to try to connect domestic flight services in every province in Indonesia. This is intended so that Batam’s economy can grow faster.

He concluded at least so far there have been 20 flight routes that have reached Batam’s Hang Nadim Airport. Most of what has been reached, he said, is the western part of Indonesia and the central part of Indonesia. As for eastern Indonesia, it is targeted to be achieved this year. [sources/photo special]
