REVIVE TOURISM, TABLE TOP TOURISM BUSINESS FORUM PRESENTED AT GWN EXPO

FOR THE first time, Gebyar Wisata Nusantara (GWN) Expo collaborated with the Association of the Indonesia Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA) to hold the Table Top Tourism Business Forum 2023, Friday (06/09), 2023 at the SMESCO Exhibition Hall, Jakarta.

According to Nining S Wati, Secretary of ASITA DPD DKI Jakarta, in the Table Top Tourism Business Forum 2023 ASITA DKI Jakarta brought 90 buyers and 30 sellers from GWN Expo exhibition participants. GWN Expo and become a mutually beneficial business to business meeting for both sellers and buyers with the tagline ‘Happy Selling Happy Dealing’.

“This time the table top is expected to revive the tourism sector which was dimmed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the sluggish world economy. This is truly a collaboration that needs, supports and benefits each other,” he said.

Meanwhile Beby Widiastuti, Project Manager of GWN Expo 2023 said, GWN had previously always been held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), this year it had to be moved because JCC was undergoing renovations for the ASEAN Summit event.

“And this year, the 2023 GWN Expo will coincide with the Gebyar Travel Fair exhibition, and is targeting 10,000 visitors during the exhibition,” said Beby.

This year, the holding of the GWN Expo exhibition enters its 19th year with the aim of informing, marketing, promoting and branding the tourism and creative economy sectors and other related industrial sectors.

Indonesia has become one of the countries that has managed to rise from the slump after the COVID-19 pandemic, this is a good indication for the revival of tourism and increasing tourist visits both local and foreign in the country.
