TO SUPPORT transportation to Kertajati Airport, Majalengka Regency, West Java, Damri has prepared three routes to Kertajati. One of the routes is Bandung to Kertajati Airport.
The existence of a route to Kertajati Airport was not very enthusiastically welcomed by the people of Bandung who frequently travel by plane. According to Jatihandap resident of Bandung City, Tia Setiani, although there is a direct bus to Kertajati, she chooses to fly at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta (Soetta) Airport.
“I prefer to go to Jakarta instead of Kertajati. The problem is that the plane ticket price is quite different, IDR200,000. The travel price from Bandung to the airport is also not much different from Kertajati, but the plane price is cheaper,” Tia told Republika.co, Tuesday (1/8/2023).
Tia said that as a Bandung resident she would prefer if the Husein Sastranegara airport was still activated. So, traveling out of town by plane will not be too far.
“Yes, but if the Husein Airport is closed, then I will have to fly from Jakarta instead of Kertajati,” he said.
Tia said that she often travels out of town by plane because she has to accompany her husband while on duty. Namely, starting from going to Bali, Padang to Batam.
“Yes, I use planes quite often, so if the ticket price is IDR200,000 different, that’s not bad,” she said.
The same thing was expressed by Ola Sukma, a resident of Antapani, Bandung City. According to her, she prefers to fly from Jakarta rather than via Kertajati because the airport is not only spacious but also complete.
“I prefer to fly from Jakarta because I’m used to it, so it feels like it’s close, not too far. To Kertajati, because I’m not used to it, it feels like it’s far,” she remarked.
It should be noted, after Husein Airport’s civil flights will be diverted to Kertajati Airport, the people of Bandung and its surroundings who want to fly to various regions and abroad can later use the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan Toll Road (Cisumdawu) to get to Kertajati Airport.
There are three routes that can be served by Damri to Kertajati Airport. The three routes are Bandung-Kertajati Airport with a fare of IDR150,000, Cirebon-Kertajati Airport IDR80,000, and Kuningan-Kertajati Airport IDR100,000. [sources/photo special]
