AHMAD Yani International Airport, Semarang City, has opened a new flight route to Ngurah Rai Airport, Denpasar, Bali. These flights will be carried out every day by Lion Air Group airlines.
The flight schedule is at 14.40 WITA with a route from Denpasar to Semarang. Meanwhile, the opposite route, from Semarang to Denpasar, is scheduled at 18.00 WIB.
According to the General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I International Airport General Ahmad Yani Semarang, Fajar Purwawidada said the Semarang-Denpasar route has long been awaited by air transportation service users.
“We as the airport management are trying to make this wish come true by continuing to coordinate with the airlines to make it happen,” he said in a written statement, Wednesday, (9/270, 2023.
Flights on the Semarang-Bali route began operating last Tuesday, September 26 2023. The flight carried 91 passengers using a Boeing 738 aircraft with a capacity of 189 seats.
Fajar hopes that the new route will help increase the number of passengers passing through Ahmad Yani Airport. “More and more new travel routes will operate at Semarang’s General Ahmad Yani International Airport,” he said.
Previously, Ahmad Yani Airport also started operating direct flight routes to Saudi Arabia. The flight was also run by the Lion Air Group. [sources/photo special]
