FINALLY, MALAYSIA AIRLINES OPENS FLIGHT ROUTES FROM KERTAJATI AIRPORT

INCREASINGLY busiest, Malaysia Airlines Opens Flight Routes from Kertajati Airport which officially serves international flight routes from Malaysia Airlines starting Monday (11/13), 2023.

According to the Executive General Manager of Kertajati Airport, Nuril Huda, Malaysia Airlines has officially opened the Kertajati Airport-Kuala Lumpur flight route and vice versa. The flight from Kuala Lumpur landed at Kertajati Airport at 19.50 WIB. Then, the flight from Kertajati Airport departs for Kuala Lumpur at 20.50 WIB.

“Airplane passengers on flights to and from Kuala Lumpur are dominated by tourists and business people. Currently there are two airlines operating the Kertajati-Kuala Lumpur route and vice versa, namely AirAsia and Malaysia Airlines.

“West Java is a favorite destination for Malaysian tourists, and Kertajati Airport will welcome foreign tourists well, supported by very complete service and support facilities,” said Nuril, quoted from an official statement, Tuesday (11/14), 2023.

Meanwhile, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) or AP II reported that the seat occupancy rate (load factor) on flights at Kertajati Airport showed a positive trend after the transfer of flights from Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung starting October 29 2023.

Likewise, the President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II, Muhammad Awaluddin explained that the level of aircraft passenger occupancy (load factor) at Kertajati Airport showed an increasing growth trend in the last 10 days. The increasing trend is not only in the number of airplane passengers, but is also felt in the volume of cargo transportation.

He explained that since October 29 2023, the load factor has continued to increase from 50-60% until starting November 1 2023 the load factor has touched 70-75%. Meanwhile, a load factor of around 70% reflects positive operations for the airline.

Awaluddin said the trend of increasing load factor indicated that Kertajati Airport was in demand by the public and airlines were able to accommodate that need. [sources/photo special]
