THE MALAYSIA Food & Travel Fair is an annual event that brings the best of Malaysia’s culinary riches and tourism experiences to the public. This exhibition aims to bring together culinary lovers and tourism lovers at QBig BSD City which was held recently.
According to the Malaysian Ambassador to Indonesia, Dato’ Syed Mohamad Hasrin Tengku Hussin, at the opening event, said that Malaysia, with its diverse cultural heritage, is a treasure trove of delicious culinary delights. From the bustling street food stalls of Kuala Lumpur to the aromatic spices of Penang, this event will showcase some of Malaysia’s best food.
“The Malaysia Food & Travel Fair is not just about culinary delights. This event can be a gateway to discovering hidden gems and iconic destinations that make Malaysia a must-visit tourist destination,” he said.
The Ambassador explained that besides that, visitors can also visit airline booths such as Malaysia Airlines, Batik Air and TransNusa, tourist attractions such as Legoland Malaysia Resort and travel agents such as TX Travel and Travel4All who are present to provide the best offers.
“Apart from tourism, with the presence of Malaysia Healthcare and Education Malaysia, visitors can find information about the best health/medical and education/college facilities in Malaysia,” he said.
Meanwhile, Junus Suhid, Director of Tourism Malaysia, said that not only savory dishes such as Nasi Lemak or roti canai and sweet foods such as ice cendol, prepare your tongue to enjoy the taste of the Malaysian Musang King durian during this event.
“Musang King durian has long been a favorite among Indonesian people when they go to Malaysia. During this event, people can taste Musang King durian at the My Durian booth, the prices offered are also very reasonable. Apart from that, also visit the Malaysian food booths at Penang Restaurant, Asraf Corner and the Women’s Association of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Representatives),” he concluded.
Malaysia Food & Travel Fair is an annual event organized by Tourism Malaysia and the Malaysian Embassy Jakarta. This event is a platform to showcase Malaysia’s rich culinary heritage, charming tourist destinations, health care and education/college facilities in Malaysia.
