GENERAL Chair of the Central Management Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Travel Agent Association (Astindo) Pauline Suharno targets the number of transactions at the 2023 DiIndonesiaAja Travel Fair (DIATF) travel exhibition to reach IDR7 billion.
“We are targeting sales or transactions of IDR7 billion for DIATF 2023. We are optimistic, hopefully it can be more,” she said after the opening of DIATF 2023 at Central Park, Jakarta, Friday (12/1), 2023.
Pauline is also optimistic that she can reach this figure, considering that at the first DIATF 2023 performance last May, the same number could be exceeded. Apart from that, the peak Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holiday season is also the right moment to reach this figure.
Apart from that, Astindo also targets the number of domestic tourist movements during Christmas 2023 to reach one million movements.
At this event, a number of travel agents who are members of Astindo were present offering various attractive promotions such as plane tickets, trains, hotels, souvenir centers, shopping centers and family recreation areas which have been summarized in various easy package options.
DIATF 2023 not only offers holiday packages to five priority destinations (Borobudur, Lake Toba, Likupang, Mandalika, Labuan Bajo), but also various other tourism options in Indonesia, ranging from tourist villages to Geoparks (earth parks).
“If we look, currently people are complaining that plane ticket prices are still high, that’s why we are making various kinds of travel exhibitions, because there will be subsidies, discounts, cashback, and installments. “The aim is to correct prices,” Pauline explained.
The DIATF 2023 is a collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, and the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS).
Held for three days (1-3 December), located at LG Terra Atrium, Central Park Mall, West Jakarta, DIATF 2023 provides a total of 29 participating travel agents providing various attractive tour packages ahead of the Christmas holidays and for the first half of 2024. [traveltext.id]
