BALI’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport has once again recorded a phenomenal achievement. Based on the latest report from PT Angkasa Pura I, Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali has been named the busiest throughout 2023 with the number of movements reaching 21,454,012 people.
The details consist of 9,918,573 passenger movements on domestic routes and 11,535,439 passenger movements on international routes.
According to AP I President Director Indah Preastuty, said this high passenger movement is a sign that people’s interest in traveling is recovering over time. This is also proof that Bali is still a leading tourism destination that is increasingly in demand.
Indah Preastuty explained, Monday (01/22), 2024, that the number of passengers in 2023 at Ngurah Rai Airport will experience very significant growth, namely 71%. In 2022, the number of passenger movements will be recorded at 12,523,546 people.
“AP I also noted that the recovery rate for the number of passenger movements in 2023 compared to the 2019 period reached 89%. The movement of passengers on international routes in and out of Bali in 2023 will also experience a growth spike of 83,” she said.
Indah Preastuty, added that the high number of passenger movements served throughout 2023 was also influenced by the high number of reactivations and openings of new routes. The details are 69 reactivations and openings of new domestic routes, as well as 69 reactivations and openings of new international routes.
