APPARENTLY that the achievements of several hotels in Indonesia have succeeded in winning many awards in different categories at the 2024 ASEAN Tourism Awards in Vientiane, Laos.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, in his statement, Saturday (01/27), 2024, he expressed his pride in the achievements achieved by Indonesia at the ASEAN Tourism Awards. I am proud and grateful to the hotel industry players in Indonesia who have participated in the 2024 ASEAN Tourism Awards. This is the result of joint collaboration between stakeholders to raise the name of Indonesia.
“This award was given directly by the Government of Laos as the main organizer of ATF 2024 to the award winners shortly before the closing ceremony of ATF 2024. The ASEAN Tourism Awards itself is an initiation from ASEAN member countries as a form of appreciation for the efforts made by tourism actors to present superior tourist destinations. and quality. So, it is hoped that the vision of ASEAN as a single destination can soon be realized,” he said.
Sandiaga explained that five prestigious award categories were won at the event for Indonesian hotels, namely the ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award, ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award, ASEAN Green Hotel Award and ASEAN MICE Venue Award. This award is a sign that the promotion of the tourism sector in Indonesia is increasingly global and amplified.
