AEON Mall Deltamas Cikarang officially opened today, Friday (03/23), 2024. The Director General of Domestic Trade, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Isy Karim, also inaugurated the opening of AEON, the largest mall in Southeast Asia.
“Congratulations on the opening of AEON Mall Deltamas, we hope that this mall will not only enrich shopping choices for the community, but also encourage national economic growth,” said Isy Karim on behalf of the Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan who was not present at the grand opening of AEON Deltamas.
The government, he continued that is also encouraging the mall with a total area of 200 thousand square meters to continue to increase creativity and innovation. Elements of commerce and tourism must be present in a mall building to make it more attractive to consumers.
“Creativity and innovation to combine elements of trade with tourism and retail to attract more consumers, for example by providing good places to eat, innovation for impressive floor plan layouts, and so on,” he said.
On the other hand, the Government hopes that the Regional Government, in this case Bekasi Regency, will make greater efforts in developing Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in their respective regions, including including MSMEs in AEON Deltamas. He also hopes that the mall can provide opportunities for MSMEs to develop further.
“I hope that AEON will provide greater opportunities for MSME players to increase marketing and sales access. We hope that AEON can also be a means of encouraging synergy between parties to support business development in Bekasi Regency,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, President Director of AEON Mall Deltamas Takashi Okada is happy to be able to open a mall in Bekasi. His party officially opened AEON Mal Deltamas as a new tourist attraction for people in the Bekasi Regency and surrounding areas.
“With the presence of this mall in a strategic location, surrounded by residential, commercial and industrial areas, I hope this mall can become a complement and gathering place for people to spend time with their loved ones,” he concluded.
