It is known that in 1984, Akira Toriyama created a manga entitled “Dragon Ball” which then continued into the series “Dragon Ball Z” and “Dragon Ball Super”. To date, “Dragon Ball” is one of the best-selling and most influential manga titles of all time.

This manga became an inspiration for other popular Japanese comic artists such as Eiichiro Oda, Tite Kubo, and Masashi Kishimoto, who are the authors of the comics “One Piece”, “Bleach, and “Naruto”, respectively.

Apart from the manga industry, Akira Toriyama is also active in the games industry by being a character designer for the game “Dragon Quest”.

Then he together with “Dragon Quest” creator Yuji Horii and “Final Fantasy” creator Hironobu Sakaguchi created the game “Chrono Trigger” which is considered one of the best games ever created.

Akira Toriyama breathed his last breath on March 1, 2024, at the age of 68 due to an acute subdural hematoma. [antaranews]
