BUDI: I THREATEN AIRLINES THAT SELL PLANE TICKETS MORE THAN UPPER LIMIT RATE

THE MINISTER of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, issued a threat to airlines that would increase the price of homecoming plane tickets above the upper limit rate.

“One thing you always ask about is the tariff. I have reminded operators that they are not allowed to exceed the upper limit tariff,” said Budi Karya when visiting Soekarno Hatta Airport, recently.

Budi explained that his party would impose sanctions on airlines if they did not comply with these rules. This aims to mediate between airline finances on the one hand, and not interfere with people’s purchasing power on the other hand.

“Of course, there are sanctions for violating or exceeding the highest price. We have coordinated with all operators as part of providing services to the community,” he said.

On the other hand, Minister of Transportation Budi asked airlines to provide discounts, especially for bookings from H-10 to H-5 of Eid. In order to anticipate travelers from flocking to order tickets for the H-4 and H-3 Eid flight schedules.

It was not without cause. According to Budi Karya, there are 193 million people who are predicted to return home this year. Including using air routes.

“Homecoming this time is indeed a big increase, there are 193 million who will go home by 50%, therefore we have to manage it well. From H-10 to H-5, you might be able to get discounts and so on. Because on the 4th you will definitely be very full,” he concluded. [sources/photo special]
